Driving instructions
Magito is easily accessible by car or on foot from the Kalasatama metro station (Redi) or from Sörnäisten rantatie in front of Kattilahalli.
By car
Google Maps shows the exact location of Magito (trip computers do not work properly in the Suvilahti area).
There are parking spaces in the courtyard near the Magito door (3-hour parking spaces) and more parking spaces are available in the large field next door.
When driving from Sörnäisten rantatie towards the city center, you can turn by car in front of the Suvilahti double-barrel Power Plant/Kattilahalli.
1. Drive across the field – the graffiti fence will be on your right and the metal gas tank building on your left…
2. and drive about 150 m between the two buildings – under the pipes running high in the air (see the picture below)…
3. Drive straight on (between Stadin Panimo and Peloton restaurant) towards the wall and the high initials of Magito…
4. Drive straight on and in the courtyard of building 7 you will find a blue door with a Magito sign on the right around the corner.
Coming from the east on Sörnäisten rantatie, turn left onto the new extension of Vilhovuorenkatu and immediately turn left, towards the two-piped Power Plant/Kattilahalli (see the map above).
1. Drive across the field – the graffiti fence will be on the right and the metal gas tank building on the left…
2. and drive about 150 m between the two buildings – under the pipes running high in the air (see picture below)…
3. Continue straight (between Stadin Panimo and Peloton restaurant) towards the wall and the high initials of Magito…
4. Go straight and in the courtyard of building 7, around the corner on the right, you will find a blue door with a Magito sign.
Note! Parrukatu (from the ABC gas station) is closed to cars, but you can still get there on foot.
Coming from Kalasatama:
1. Head towards the west side of Redin/city center. Drive towards Suvilahti from the traffic lights…
2. Immediately after the traffic lights, turn right across the sidewalk and drive about 150 meters toward the Cirko building and the large round gas tanks…
3. Drive down the ramp between the two buildings on the right side of the Cirko building into the courtyard and turn right…
4. In the courtyard, the blue door with the Magito sign is just around the corner on the right in building 7.
Metrolta kävellen Magitolle
Google Maps näyttää Magiton oikean tarkan sijainnin (ajotietokoneet eivät toimi oikein Suvilahden alueella).
Kalasataman metroasemalta (Redistä) pääset helposti kävellen Magitolle:
1. Metroasemalta ulos kadulle tultuasi käänny oikealle (Redistä ulos tullessa vasemmalle) ja kävele – kohti kaupungin keskustaa/isoa voimalaitosta kohti – suoraan liikennevaloihin asti…
2. Ylitettyäsi liikennevaloristeyksen käänny oikealle ylös, ja kävele ison kentän vieressä kohti Cirko-rakennusta ja kohti isoja pyöreitä kaasusäiliöitä…
3. Kulje alas kahden rakennuksen välistä ajoluiskaa (kts. kuva yllä)…
4. ja alhaalla kun aita loppuu käänny oikealle rakennus 7:n sisäpihalle, kohti seinämuuria jonka edessä on yleensä autoja…
5. Magiton kyltillä varustettu sininen ovi on heti kulman takana oikealla rakennuksessa 7, ennen seinämuuria (kts kuva alla).
Sörnäisten rantatieltä kävellen (Sörnäisten metroaselta)
1. Voit tulla kaksipiippuisen Kattilahallin edestä…
2. Kulje kentän yli niin että grafittiaita jää oikealle puolelle ja metallinen kaasusäiliörakennus vasemmalle puolen…
3. Kulje edelleen vähän vasemmalle etuviistoon ja mene kahden rakennuksen välistä ilmassa kulkevien putkien alitse (kts kuva alla)…
4. Kulje suoraan ja rakennus 7:n sisäpihalta löytyy Magiton isojen kirjainten vierestä, kulman takaa oikealta Magiton kyltillä varustettu sininen ovi.
